Get to Know Dr. Kapil Kotadia
While he was growing up in Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia, Dr. K always considered a career in healthcare. One of his relatives was a dentist, and he was inspired by the way that they were able to connect with patients, help them maintain a healthy mouth and body, and build real, long-lasting relationships.
Dr. K began his journey toward his dental career at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science. He then went onto attend the VCU School of Dentistry, earning his doctorate of dental surgery. After graduation, he went onto complete a General Practice Residency at St. Luke’s Health Network in Bethlehem, PA. It was there where Dr. K received advanced training and built his skills in surgery, cosmetics, and implantology.
As the owner and operator of Dental Inc., Dr. K has the opportunity to pursue his own, unique vision of how dentistry should be practiced. Thanks to his years of training, people-first approach, and focus on patient education, you’ll enjoy an unbeatable dental care experience.
When he’s not working hard in our office, Dr. K loves traveling the world with his wife, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the food scene around Alexandria. A big sports fan, Dr. K also loves watching football and basketball and staying active by playing them, too.
What to Expect
The First Visit Experience
Once you check in with our team, feel free to relax with a coffee or another drink from our complimentary beverage bar. Once it’s time for your appointment, we’ll bring you back to one of our operatories and provide you with a comfort menu. We offer Netflix on our TVs, noise-canceling headphones, and lots of other comfort options!
Then, Dr. K will examine your mouth. We’ll also take a 3D scan of your teeth, take digital X-rays, and take photos of your teeth to make sure we get a full picture of your oral health.
Next, Dr. K or one of our hygienists will scale, floss, and polish your teeth to remove plaque and bacteria. This keeps your teeth bright and shiny, and also helps reduce your risk of cavities and gum disease.
Finally, Dr. K will discuss his findings with you, and whether or not you need any further treatment or just a six-month checkup. Stop by our front desk on your way out to schedule your next visit and you’ll be good to go!.

We do our best to make things simple at Dental Inc. All you’ll need to bring to your first visit is:
- A credit/debit card
- Insurance card (if applicable)
- Past dental records, if available
- Medication list and health history
